How do you change a tail light on a 2014 Hyundai Sonata?
The tail light in my Hyundai just went out, and I want to change it before I get a ticket… but I’m not sure how. Can I do that at home? How do you change the tail lights in a 2014 Hyundai Sonata?

You can definitely change the tail light on your Sonata by yourself! It’ll take a few minutes and just a couple bucks.
The most common cause of a brake light going out is a burned-out bulb. Here’s how to change the brake light in a 2014
Hyundai
Sonata.- Look up the replacement part number for the brake light bulb and buy it
- Grab a Phillips head screwdriver
- Open the trunk and find the rectangular cover over the tail light assembly on the affected side
- Use the screwdriver to remove the cover from the tail light assembly
- Reach in and unlock the socket by turning it counterclockwise
- Pull the socket out
- Remove the bulb by pressing it down and turning it counterclockwise
- Using gloves to avoid damage and smudging, install the new bulb
- Reinsert the socket, turn it clockwise, and replace the cover
That’s it! All you have to do now is test the tail light.
