How do you change a headlight bulb on a Toyota Corolla?

How can I change the headlight bulb on my Toyota Corolla? One of my headlights went out, so I bought a new bulb. However, I’m not sure how to actually put it in my car.

Thankfully, replacing a headlight is a fairly easy DIY. Here are the steps to change a headlight bulb on a

:

At the front of your car, reach into the hood and find the back of the headlight bulb you need to change.

Twist the headlight assembly counterclockwise until you can pull it straight out.

To release the bulb from the wires holding it in place, lift the latch on the side.

Carefully click the new bulb into place. Try not to touch the glass as your skin’s oils will decrease the life of your headlight.

Twist the assembly back into place, then close the hood. Make sure to test the new bulb when you’re finished!
