How do you adjust your car mirrors for maximum visibility?
What do I do to adjust my car mirrors for maximum visibility? I’m a little nervous about driving in the snow this winter and I want to make sure I have as much visibility as possible to help keep myself safe.

Here’s how to adjust your car mirrors for maximum visibility:
- First, adjust therearview mirror. Sit normally in your driver’s seat, then move the rearview mirror until your entire rear windshield is visible without having to move your head.
- Next, lean your head to the left and rest your head against the window. While in this position, adjust your side mirror so that you can only see a sliver of the side of your car in the mirror.
- Lean to the right until your head is in line with the center console. While in this position, adjust your right side mirror until you can barely see the right side of your car.
Before you start driving, check your mirrors from your normal driving position to make sure that you can see well out of each of them. If you have any visibility problems, make small adjustments until they’re fixed.
