To adjust the headlights on a Jeep Wrangler
, you will need to turn the adjustment screws on both sides of the light until they are illuminating properly. Making sure that your headlights are clean
, in good repair, and pointing in the right direction makes driving safer for you and everyone else on the road. Here is what you need to do: Park your Jeep on a flat surface facing a wall or garage door. You will want to have enough room to back up about 25 feet on a level surface.
Pull up to within a foot of the wall, and use masking tape to make a cross on the wall where each headlight is the brightest and most concentrated.
Back your Jeep up about 25 feet and check the alignment with the tape on the wall. Locate the adjustment screws—one on top of the headlight for vertical adjustment, and one to the side for horizontal adjustment.
Turn the adjustment screws until the high beams are just level with the tape on the wall (not above) and the low beams are just under the tape crosses.
