It’s fairly easy to adjust a drum brake—you just need to know what to do.
Start by jacking up the side of the car that you need to adjust. Using a flat blade screwdriver, pry off the small metal covering over the hole just behind the wheel. Insert the flat blade screwdriver into the slot until you feel it slide into a groove—then pry upwards. That will tighten your drum brakes in increments.
It’s very difficult to loosen drum brakes. Make sure that don’t over-tighten them.
