It’s a good idea to add freon to your car if you notice that you have a leak or if your AC is having problems getting cold. You can add freon to your 2005
of your car and locate the black cap next to the oil dipstick. This is the low side fill port.
Grab your freon recharging kit and connect the coupler to the low side fill port.
Start your engine and roll down all of your windows.
Once your engine has warmed up, turn your AC to the lowest setting until it gets as cold as possible.
Then, go back to the front of your car and turn the handle on your freon container all the way down.
After one minute (at most), turn the handle on the freon container back up.
Wait for another minute to allow the freon to travel through your car’s system, then turn the handle down for another 60 seconds.
Continue doing this until the interior of your car reaches about 40 degrees.
