How do I use BMW touch-up paint sticks?
I have a pretty significant chip in my BMW’s paint job. My girlfriend bought me some touch-up paint sticks to fix it. I’m not really sure how they work. What’s the best way to use BMW touch-up paint sticks?

The great thing about BMW touch-up paint is that it’s specifically for your BMW and its paint color. To use a
BMW
touch-up paint stick, follow these simple steps:- Make sure the surface you are about to paint is cool and clean. To prep the area, consider washing it with dishwashing liquid or alcohol. Dry thoroughly.
- Prepare the paint by shaking it back and forth for about 5 minutes. You’ll likely have two sticks of paint: one with a clear top and one with an opaque top. The opaque top is your base coat and the clear top is your topcoat.
- For paint damaged by rock chips, apply the base paint in dabbing motions. For scratches, use light brush strokes.
- Let your base coat dry for about an hour and then apply your clear coat in the same fashion.
- Allow your clear coat to dry overnight.
Ideally, your paint should look brand new! If the chip in your car’s paint is still noticeable, visit a BMW service center or body shop that specializes in paint repairs to avoid any further damage.
