How do I turn off the maintenance light on my Toyota Camry?
I just had my Toyota Camry’s oil changed, but when I got back behind the wheel I noticed the maintenance light was still illuminated. Is there a way for me to turn off my Toyota Camry’s maintenance light myself, or do I have to take my car back to the mechanic?

How frustrating! Since you already had your
Toyota Camry
serviced, the light is probably still illuminated due to a technical glitch.Thankfully, it is possible to turn off the maintenance light yourself, so you can avoid having to go back to the mechanic.
To turn off the maintenance light in a Toyota Camry:
- Insert your key into your ignition and turn it two clicks (past ACC to ON)
- Press the reset button on your odometer until you can select Trip A
- Move your key back one click to ACC
- Press and hold the reset button
- While you hold the button, move your key back to the ON position
- Wait until you hear five long beeps
Your maintenance light should now be off. You can get back to driving without the distraction of a warning light!
