How do I turn off the maintenance light on my 2014 Toyota Camry?
I just had my oil changed but the maintenance required (“MAINT REQD”) light in my car hasn’t disappeared. Can I turn off the maintenance required light on my 2014 Toyota Camry myself?

The pesky maintenance light in your vehicle can be annoying, particularly when you’ve already had your 2014
Toyota Camry
serviced. Thankfully, it is possible to turn off the maintenance required light. The “MAINT REQD” light generally shows up when your car needs an oil change. However, when you’ve taken care of the maintenance, and the light still won’t go away, there may be a glitch in the system (or a mechanic who forgot to turn it off!).
To reset the MAINT REQD light in a 2014 Toyota Camry:
- Insert your key into your ignition and turn it two clicks (past ACC to ON)
- Press the reset button on your odometer until you can select Trip A
- Move your key back one click to ACC
- Press and hold the reset button
- While you hold the button, move your key back to the ON position
- Wait until you hear five long beeps
And voila! The light will disappear. Should you have any troubles, you can repeat the steps above.
