How do I set up Bluetooth in a 2011 Chevy Equinox?
I just purchased a used 2011 Chevy Equinox from a private seller, and it did not come with the original owner’s manual—which I thought was fine until I realized I don’t know how to set up the Bluetooth. What is the Bluetooth setup in the 2011 Equinox?

Congrats on your new (used) car purchase! I’m sorry about the owner’s manual, though, that thing can come in handy.
To set up Bluetooth in a 2011 Chevy Equinox, the first thing you’ll want to do is open your phone’s Bluetooth settings and make sure your smartphone’s Bluetooth capabilities are on. Then follow these steps:
- Turn on the vehicle’s entertainment console
- Press the configuration (“CONFIG”) button on the console
- Using the menu selection wheel, scroll to and select the phone settings option
- Select “Bluetooth” from the list
- Select “Pair Device (Phone)” from the list
- Check your phone’s list of Bluetooth options for “Your Vehicle” and select that option
- Enter the passcode shown on the vehicle’s entertainment console into your phone when prompted
Once the passcode is accepted and the pairing is successful, you can then use the menu selection wheel to navigate the features of your phone. And the next time you want to connect your phone to your Equinox’s Bluetooth, it will be an easier process!
