I just got an oil change on my 2006 Honda Odyssey EX, but the oil life readout on the dash still says 45%. How can I reset the oil on my 2006 Odyssey?

will remain the same unless the mechanic specifically resets it. If they didn’t, don’t worry. Resetting it is easy.
To reset the oil on a 2006 Honda Odyssey, use the trip button located on the van’s instrument cluster. Once you’ve located the trip button, follow these instructions:
  • Turn your key to the on position, but don’t start the engine.
  • Press the trip button as many times as necessary until you see oil life on the dashboard.
  • Press and hold the trip button for about 10 seconds.
  • Once oil life starts to flash, release the trip button.
  • Immediately press and hold the trip button again for five seconds or until the oil life reads 100%.
