How do I reset Bluetooth on a 2016 Chevy Equinox?

I have a 2016 Chevy Equinox that’s equipped with Bluetooth. However, any time that I’ve tried to pair my phone, the system won’t let me. What do I do to reset the Bluetooth on a 2016 Equinox?

The Bluetooth feature on the 2016 Chevy Equinox doesn’t have a reset feature, but you can usually get the system to work if you delete all the phones or devices currently entered into the Bluetooth capability on the head unit. Here’s how to do it:
  1. Turn on the car and put it in park.
  2. Use the vehicle touch screen to navigate to the phone section.
  3. Select the device you want to delete.
  4. Tap delete.
  5. Double-check to make sure that the phone is gone from the Bluetooth list.
Next, go on your phone and delete the Chevy Equinox device from your Bluetooth connections. After that, open and close your vehicle door, wait two minutes, and then pair your phone with the Bluetooth system. Hopefully, this works without any hindrances!
