Put the key in the ignition, and turn the key to the on position but don’t start the engine. This is called accessory mode. If you have a push-button start, press the button twice to accomplish the same thing.
Use the trip button on the instrument cluster to bring up the oil life.
Hold in the trip button for 10 seconds or until the oil life percentage starts to flash.
Release the trip button.
Hold in the trip button again for about five seconds, or until the oil life reads 100%.
Keep in mind that your oil life indicator and oil pressure light are two different things. If the light that looks like an oil can with a drip is illuminated on your Honda Pilot, this may indicate a leak or another problem with your oil pressure—which is a serious issue.
