keys need a CR 2032 3V battery, which you can find at an electronics store or online. Check your owner’s manual to confirm the battery type.Here’s a step-by-step guide to replacing your key’s battery:
- Open the key fob with a screwdriver. There’s a small slot you will be able to pop open with the screwdriver.
- Remove the circuit board.
- Replace the old battery with a new battery.
- Reassemble the fob.
With that done, your key should have charge once again! If you can’t fix it yourself, head to a Toyota dealership for help.
