How do I remove car window molding?
I noticed that my car's window molding is starting to rot and tear. I want to get rid of this without paying a bundle—I'm not sure I have enough to cover the costs of repair, but this is definitely not safe. How do I remove car window molding?

“I’m sorry that’s happening, and good on you for taking action before it gets worse! To remove your car window molding, follow these steps:
- Roll the window all the way down.
- Use a flathead screwdriver to pry off the molding.
- Use a small metal scraper to remove any adhesive or excess molding.
- Sand the area to remove any leftover particles.
One heads up—if you’ve never done it before, removing the molding may prove difficult. Additionally, this damage might be covered under your
comprehensive coverage
or through your car warranty
