It’s a little peculiar to find another device paired with your car, even if it’s used. Dealerships usually take care of this sort of thing for you. But it’s ultimately not that big of a deal, and very easy to fix. And no, you don’t need the previous owners’ phone to remove a Bluetooth device from a Honda Odyssey
. With your Honda Odyssey safely parked and the engine running, let’s remove this old device.
If your Honda Odyssey has a button next to the infotainment screen that looks like a phone:
Select delete device. You’ll need to scroll down a bit to find it
From this list, find the device you’d like to delete, highlight it, and press the select button
If everything looks right, select yes to unpair this device
If your Odyssey has a “Settings” button:
Press the settings button
Select Bluetooth device list
From this list, find and select the device you want to remove
If everything looks correct, select yes to unpair this device
As a heads-up, sometimes device names are really super vague and not at all helpful. You might see two phones both referred to as “iPhone” or “Pixel” or “Galaxy”. It can make this process a little frustrating, but worst case, you’ll just end up re-pairing your phone again.
We hope this guide is useful regardless of what year your Honda Odyssey is. And if you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to drop us a line!
