How do I program the garage door opener in my 2020 GMC Sierra?

So I just bought a 2020 GMC Sierra with a built-in garage door opener, but I can’t figure out how to set the thing up. Is there some special trick to programing it?

This is an issue that confuses a lot of people. But once you know how to do it, programing your Sierra’s garage door opener is easy! Here’s how you program the garage door opener in your 2020

:

On the Universal Home Remote (UHR) in your Sierra, press and hold the two outside buttons simultaneously

When the indicator light begins to flash, release the buttons

Hold your old garage door opener about 2 inches away from the Sierra’s Universal Home Remote buttons

While you’re doing that, hold down the UHR button that you want to program as well as the button on your old garage door opener

The UHR indicator light will begin flashing slowly and then rapidly—when it starts flashing quickly, your done

And it’s as easy as that! You can now enjoy the convenience of your Sierra’s built-in garage door opener. And don’t forget to use the
