Here’s how to play music via Bluetooth in a BMW X1:

Activate Bluetooth on your mobile phone.

From the iDrive touch screen, select “COM,” then “Mobile Devices,” then “New Device.”

On your phone, choose the BMW X1 Bluetooth from the list of Bluetooth devices to begin pairing.

Once the system is done pairing, confirm that the PIN on the iDrive screen matches the one on your phone.
