How do I open the hood of a Dodge Charger?
I need to do some work under the hood of my Dodge Charger, but I’m new to working on cars and am struggling with even the basics. How do I open my car’s hood?

To open your
Dodge Charger
’s hood, all you have to do is find the hood release. Don’t worry if it takes some time—it can be tricky business to locate the latch! In older models, the hood release will be located under the center of your car’s hood, by the grill—you should be able to slip a few fingers beneath the metal edge of your car’s hood and press the latch to release it. In newer models, you’ll first have to pull a lever to release the hood, usually located by the foot of the driver’s side or along the steering column in your vehicle.
Once you’ve released the catch, you can pop the hood open with ease. From there, all you have to do is prop it open with the thin metal rod attached to the inside of your car’s hood, and you’re ready to get to work!
