How do I open the gas tank on a 2022 Subaru Ascent?
I just got a new 2022 Subaru Ascent and wanted to top off the gas tank while I was out, but I could not get the gas tank door open. I tried pushing, pulling, everything but it wouldn’t budge. How does it open?

! I’m sorry you’ve had some struggles with the gas tank, but you’ll be a master by the end of this. To open the gas tank on a 2022
Subaru Ascent
, you first need to find and press the release button for the fuel door. It will likely be near the floor by the driver’s seat. Once you press the release button, the fuel door will pop open and you’ll just need to unscrew the gas cap. Turn the gas cap counterclockwise to remove it, and after you’ve filled your Ascent up with the
correct type of gas
, seal it up again by screwing the cap on clockwise. It may take a few moments to find the fuel door release button, but I’m sure you’ll be a pro in no time!
