That’s a great question! Opening the gas tank on a 2016

Mitsubishi Outlander

is a breeze once you get the process down. Just turn off your SUV and follow these simple steps:

Find the gas tank release lever on the floor and pull it up to unlock the gas tank door

On the driver’s side, find the gas tank door and turn the gas tank cap counterclockwise to open

And that’s all there is to open the gas tank door on a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander! Fill up the 2016 Outlander’s 16.6-gallon gas tank, and you’ll be ready for the trail in no time.
