Additional clearance is always better! Let’s talk about a few alternatives to lifting your car without a lift kit by as much as six inches.
One option for larger vehicles and trucks is to use add-a-leaves. This will increase the height of your suspension coil springs and can give you up to three inches of height. The process to install is fairly easy as well.
Coil-spring rigs are another option for adding height. They are easy on your wallet and are similar to add-a-leaves that larger vehicles and trucks use on their suspensions. These spacers fit between the suspension coil and pressure canister. They also may result in a smoother ride than you have now. However, they don’t add much height, maxing out around two inches of additional clearance.
That said, make sure to practice safety when attempting any
modifications on your vehicle
, and contact a mechanic to do any work you don’t feel comfortable completing on your own. Another way to stay safe is with
Jerry
. Jerry’s roadside assistance membership gives you access to industry-leading roadside assistance for as little as $4.16 a month.
Good luck!
