How do I jump-start the battery on a manual shift car?
I have a manual shift car, but I'm not too confident in the battery. Is there a way to jump-start it?

Although
jump-starting a car battery
on a manual shift car may seem more difficult, it’s actually easier than on an automatic transmission. To jump-start or push start a stick shift vehicle:
- Make sure your battery is the source of the problem
- Clear a path for at least 300 feet in front of the vehicle
- Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position
- Put the car in second gear
- Release the parking brake
- Push down on the brake pedal and the clutch at the same time
- Release the brake as someone pushes the car
- Drop the clutch as soon as you reach about 5 mph
With any luck, this should start the engine.
