How do I get the Subaru infotainment system update?
I received a notification that my Subaru infotainment system has an update. How do I get this update in my car without visiting a mechanic?

You can download your Subaru infotainment system update to your car in a few easy steps. Here’s what you need to do:
- Turn the engine ON and select settings on the infotainment home screen
- Click the general icon in the bottom left-hand corner of the settings screen
- Scroll down until you find System information and click this option
- If the system shows REL_UA.20.38.70 or Rel_UA.20.41.70 as your software version, then no updates are needed! If neither of these versions are listed, continue with downloading the software update
- Connect your vehicle to an active Wi-Fi network
- On the general settings screen, click Check for updates
- A pop up will appear that says Software update ready to download. Click Download now
- When the download is done, select Install now on the installation pop up
- The installation will begin and reboot the infotainment system
- When you get the *I agree pop up, click the agreement button to complete the process
And you’re done! Now, you can turn your engine off or continue setting up your updated infotainment system.
