How do I get a copy of my Colorado driving record?

Is my Colorado driving record available online, or do I have to get a copy at the DMV? I just want to see how many points are on my record.

It’s definitely important to monitor how many driving points you have, since points can affect your license and your
Colorado car insurance rates
. You can get a copy of your Colorado driving record in one of three ways:
  1. Send for it in the mail by filling out all the forms on the DMV website and sending them to your local licensing branch.
  2. Request it online by visiting mydmv.colorado.gov.
  3. Visit a licensing branch to request a copy in person. Be sure to bring your driver’s license!
Regardless of how you request your driving record, you’ll need to pay a fee of $9.00 to $10.00. You can do this online or in person, or you can send a check for the appropriate amount in the mail.
