How do I fix the TCS light on a Honda Accord?
I have a 2005 Honda Accord that’s been a true warrior for the past 15 years. Recently, however, the TCS light keeps coming on. How can I fix the TCS light on my Honda Accord?

The TCS, or traction control system, is an important part of maintaining control of your

. Over time, the TCS switch wears out, but it’s rarely a significant sign of problems with your braking system.To fix the TCS light on a Honda, simply replace the TCS switch located above your brake. Here’s how:
- Purchase a new TCS switch. It will usually cost about $30.
- Set something heavy on the brake pedal of your car. This will distance the brake pedal from the switch located right above it.
- Disconnect the wiring harness from the TCS. Remove the screw to take the TCS switch off.
- Tighten the new TCS switch into place and replace the wiring harness.
- Turn on the engine, and you should see that the TCS light is gone.
If you don’t feel confident replacing the switch, you can always take your car to a mechanic. However, expect to pay between $50 and $100 for the replacement.
