How do I fix my car's trim?

My Nissan’s exterior trim is coming loose and has become unsightly. I’d love to fix it myself, if possible. How do I fix my car's trim?

Loose trim is a common issue as a car ages. Thankfully, you should be able to fix the trim at home with the
right tools
and a little handiness.
Here’s what you’ll need to fix your loose trim:
  • Heat gun
  • Adhesive (think Windo-Weld)
  • Tape
Once you have your materials gathered, follow these steps to fix the trimming on your car: Step 1: Move the heat gun along the trim that you want to fix. This will make it flexible, giving you easier access to the space between the trim and the vehicle. Step 2: Now, apply fresh adhesive to the space between the trim and your vehicle. Step 3: Tape the trim vertically to keep everything in place while the adhesive sticks. This should take around 24 hours.
If you follow these steps, your trim should be looking as good as new!
