How do I fix my car mats in place?

My car mats never stay in place, and I can’t take it anymore. They’re perfectly smooth on the bottom, so they’re always slipping around and getting in the way. I don’t want to go out and buy new ones, though. How can I fix my car mats to keep them in place?

How annoying! Car mats that refuse to stay in place aren’t just inconvenient, either: they can become a real safety hazard if they start interfering with your brake and gas pedals.
Luckily, there are several quick, cheap, and easy fixes for this. Here are a few options:
  • Use double-sided carpet tape to hold the mats in place.
  • Attach an adhesive, non-slip mat with better traction to the underside of your car mats.
  • Buy and install car mat clips, which you can snap the mats in and out of.
Hope this helps! To take care of your car financially, make sure you have the right
car insurance
policy in place, too.
