How do I fix an AC leak on my car?
Of course, on the hottest day in weeks, my AC just stopped working. I investigated a bit and discovered a small puncture and some refrigerant leaking out of my AC unit. What’s the best way to fix an AC leak in my car?

The AC always seems to give out at the worst times, doesn’t it? The good news is that there are a few ways to get your AC back up and running in no time.
If you have the tools and the know-how, you can fix the leak yourself. If you purchase a super sealant in an auto parts store, you’ll just want to follow these easy steps to get your AC back in action.
- First, attach one end of a hose to the sealant can and connect the other end to your AC’s low-pressure port.
- After transferring the liquid, refill the AC system with the appropriate refrigerant, per your unit’s requirements.
- Run the AC for at least 15 minutes to allow the sealant to spread across the system.
