How do I fix a Honda Odyssey sliding door?
I have three kids, so my Honda Odyssey Touring has been great. However, the sliding door on one side is broken. Of course, none of my kids will admit how it happened. I need to fix it ASAP. How can I repair a sliding door on my Honda Odyssey?

Ah, the joys of parenthood! While finding out what happened would be nice, I’m sure getting it fixed is a higher priority, so I’m happy to walk you through it!
- Pop the rear tailgate and remove the fasteners for the taillight.
- Take out the taillight.
- Take off the pieces of plastic and metal that cover the tracking.
- Remove the door from the tracking. You may need to use a jack to set the door on while you’re working.
- Use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the cables that hold the door bracket in place.
- Purchase a new door bracket and install it.
- Put the door back on.
- Put all of the pieces back together and test your sliding door. It should work like new!
Keep in mind that this is a big job, so if you’re not up to it, take your car to a mechanic or Honda dealership.
