The lighter in my car stopped working and now I can’t charge my phone or light my cigarettes. I think there is a problem with the fuse. How do I fix a car lighter use?

If your lighter has stopped working, you’ll have to locate the broken fuse and replace it. Fuses are designed to blow to protect your electrical components and can easily be replaced.
Try following these steps:
Locate the fuse box. Use the owner’s manual to find the location of your car’s fuse box
Identify the lighter fuse. The fuse panel cover will have a diagram that lists each electrical device and the corresponding fuse
Test the lighter fuse. If the fuse doesn’t illuminate when you probe the test ports, it is blown
Replace the blown lighter fuse. Pull out the bad lighter fuse using your fingers or pliers and push in with a new one
If you’re not sure how to do this or don’t feel safe, just bring the car in to a mechanic.
