How do I enter the radio code on a Honda Civic?
I got a new battery for my Civic EX after the old one quit on me. Now when I start my car, the radio is asking for a radio code. How can I enter the radio code on a Honda Civic?

When you replace the battery on a

, you’ll often be prompted to enter a code on your radio’s touchscreen. Fortunately, amending the situation is easy.In most cases, you won’t need to enter the radio code on a Honda Civic to unlock the stereo. Instead, you can hold the radio power button down for five seconds to bypass the code.
If that doesn’t work, however, you can get your radio code online. Here’s how:
- Log onto radio-navicode.honda.com.
- Input your vehicle identification number (VIN), zip code, phone number, email, and the radio’s serial number.
- To find the serial number for the radio, open the glove box. You should see a sticker on the interior or exterior that contains the number.
