How do I connect my Android phone to a BMW Bluetooth?
I’m going on a road trip with my friend and her parents next week and I want to make sure my Android pairs with the audio system. I have a ton of road trip playlists all ready! How do I connect my phone to the car?

Road trip tunes are of the utmost importance! To connect your Android phone to the Bluetooth in a BMW, follow these steps:
- Go to “Settings” on your Android and select “Connections” then “Bluetooth”
- Use the “COM” menu on the BMW iDrive screen. Tap “Mobile Devices”
- Next, select “+ New Device” followed by “Phone calls and audio”
- Select the device you wish to pair on the BMW iDrive screen
- Confirm your pairing code on your phone by selecting “Pair”
- Then select “Use Android Auto”.
- Follow the prompts on your Android device to allow access to Contacts and Messages
- Your device should now be paired with the vehicle’s Bluetooth system
As it’s your first time pairing your phone with this particular BMW, you may have to accept a few conditions before getting to the main set-up page. Also, make sure your Android has the latest update installed and an active data plan. Once all of that is in place, you should be ready to rock and roll!
