“The thin interior of a CD player may seem impossible to clean, but it can be done! Below are the steps you need to clean the exterior of your car’s CD player:
Power off your stereo system and remove any CD(s) from the player.
Use a clean, soft bristle brush or microfiber towel to remove any dust from the area. With a can of compressed air, gently spray the compressed air to get rid of any remaining dust particles. This is preferred over water because it won’t ruin the electronics.
Use a car dashboard cleaner and a clean microfiber towel* to wipe the buttons.
The best way to clean the interior of the CD player is to buy a specific cleaner CD. These CDs are specially equipped to brush the CD player’s interior and gently remove dust and debris.
Your CD player should look good as new. But don’t stop there!
