How do I check tire pressure on a Subaru Outback?
I have a Subaru Outback and live up in the mountains. It’s always been great to me, but recently, I’ve noticed it pulling off to the left. I assume I just need to inflate the tires, but I’ve never done it before. What do I do to check the tire pressure on a Subaru Outback?

Don’t stress too much! The Subaru Outback has a tire pressure monitor on the dash that will alert you if your tires are a bit under or overinflated. If you see a light that has a tire tread with an exclamation point, you probably need to check the tires. To do so, follow these steps:
- Note that the correct tire pressure for this model is 33 PSI in the front and 32 in the back. This will vary by model year, so you can also find this number on the placard on the inside of the driver’s door jamb.
- Unscrew the cap from the valve stem on the tire.
- Press a tire gauge to the valve stem to get a tire pressure rating.
- Add or remove air to get your tire pressure to either 32 or 33 PSI.
- Repeat for all tires.
