How do I check tire pressure on a Hyundai Kona?
My Hyundai Kona is my prized possession. So when it started to handle a bit weird, I got really nervous. My friend reassured me that I probably just need to fill the tires with air. What do I need to do to check tire pressure on my Kona?

All Hyundai Konas are equipped with a tire pressure monitor system (TPMS). So if that’s the issue, you should see a tire with an exclamation point light up on your dashboard. Even if you don’t, checking tire pressure is probably still a smart option.
Here’s how to check tire pressure on a Hyundai Kona:
- Open your owner’s manual to find out the proper psi in each tire.
- Locate the valve stem and unscrew it.
- Push the tire gauge against the valve stem to get a psi reading.
- If your tire is low, fill it with air accordingly.
- If you need to remove air, press the backside of the tire gauge against the valve stem. If done correctly, you should hear air leaving the tire.
- Once you have all the tires to the proper psi, you’re done.
