How do I check the tire pressure on a Volkswagen Jetta?
I have a Volkswagen Jetta that’s been steering a bit funky lately. I’m fairly certain it’s the tires, but I’m not sure how to check them. What do I do to check the tire pressure on a Jetta?

Tire pressure can definitely make an impact on the steering and handling of your Jetta, so taking a quick look at tire pressure is a smart move. Here’s how to check the tire pressure on a Volkswagen Jetta:
- Look inside the owner’s manual or the driver’s side door jamb to get thecorrect tire pressure for your vehicle.
- Don’t drive for about 10 minutes to make sure that your tires are cool, as warm tires may give you an inaccurate reading.
- Locate the valve stem on the tire.
- Remove the valve stem cap.
- If the tire is underinflated, fill it with compressed air. If it’s overinflated, use the backside of the tire gauge to release air.
- Do the same for all four tires until you have the proper tire pressure.
