How can I see if my car insurance is still valid? I haven’t driven in almost a year and have no idea if my car insurance is still active. I’m really hoping to get back on the road soon. Where should I check?

The most direct way would be to get in contact with your insurer. By speaking directly with your provider, you can find out if your coverage is still active and/or renew it immediately. An insurance agent can also provide you with detailed information about your policy.
Your local Department of Motor Vehicles can also verify your insurance in the event that you have forgotten your provider.
Both methods will require you to provide your vehicle identification number, license plate number, and personal identification.
