Check online. If you know where your car was last insured, you can check your insurer’s website to see if they list your policy details.
Call your provider. If the website doesn’t have answers, contacting your provider directly will likely get you the information you need.

Call the Secretary of State. In a lot of states, you can get information about your car’s insurance from the Office of the Secretary of State. You’ll need to provide your license number and possibly other information about your vehicle as well.
Get a quote. When you request a car insurance quote, your insurance agent will usually get access to an online report showing your current insurance provider (and if your policy is active).
