How do I change the language on my Kia Forte Bluetooth?
My son was messing around in my car and as a (not funny) joke, he switched up the language on my Kia’s Bluetooth to French. I don’t speak French, so this is a problem. How do I change the language on my Kia Forte Bluetooth?

It’s all fun and games until someone switches up your Kia’s Bluetooth language. In most cases, to change the language on your Kia Forte’s Bluetooth, all you have to do is press and hold the talk icon on your steering wheel for ten seconds. This will toggle you through to the next language option, so keep repeating the action until you reach the language you want.
Unfortunately, changing your Bluetooth language may lead to your phone getting unpaired from your Forte. Here’s how to pair it up again:
- Turn Bluetooth on in your phone
- Click on the “Phone” button on your Forte’s radio console (newer models may have you select “Setup” from the touchscreen)
- Press “Phone,” then “Pair” on your touchscreen (or “Bluetooth,” then “Bluetooth Connection”)
- Your Forte’s device name will appear along with its passkey
- Select the device name on your phone’s list of available devices
- Depending on your model, you will either have to make sure the passkeys match on your phone and your Kia or you will need to enter the passkey yourself and hit “Pair”
- Your Forte will then confirm that the pairing is complete
