How do I change my car insurance policy?

I currently have comprehensive coverage on my vehicle, but the car's value isn't enough to warrant that type of insurance. I don't want to be spending money I don't have to, so how can I change my car insurance policy to only include liability coverage?

“Good on you for figuring out what you don’t need!
If you want to change your car insurance policy from
comprehensive coverage
to
liability coverage
, you only need to place a phone call to your insurance provider. They should be able give you all the information you need.
As a general rule, if your yearly premium for comprehensive insurance is more than 10% of the fair market value of your vehicle, downgrading your coverage is a smart financial move.
Just keep in mind that you should still have the money to pay for damage or maintenance out of pocket. If you’re able, you may also want to start saving for a new vehicle—if your car’s value isn’t enough to warrant comprehensive coverage, it might be time for an upgrade.
However, it’s possible that another plan could get you less expensive comprehensive coverage. The
