You’ll likely find it simple to change your Duralast windshield wipers. As you may know, Duralast is a private label brand sold only by Autozone, and they generally get good reviews.
The directions below will give you a general outline for how to change your wipers. They are written for wiper blades that connect to the wiper arm with a J hook.
Gently lift the wiper arm away from the window. Rotate the wiper blade, making it perpendicular to the wiper arm
Hold down the tabs or clips to release the old blade
Carefully pop the blade off the J hook and slide the blade off
Take the new blade and slide it onto the wiper arm
Click the blade into place. Listen for the click
Carefully lower the wiper arm. Repeat the process with the other blade
In addition to the J hook, there are other types of wiper arm styles. Some of the most common include:
Bayonet
Pinch tab
Slide pin or post
In any case, you can consult your owner’s manual to determine exactly how to detach and mount your old wipers onto the arm. It should be a simple process.
