To change a brake light on a Honda Odyssey, go to an auto parts store and purchase a set of two cheap halogens for around $6. Then, follow these steps:
Pop the tailgate.
Notice the plastic trim around the edge.
Look for two plastic cutouts near the rim of the tailgate.
Pry these open with a flathead screwdriver.
This will expose two Phillips-head screws. Use a screwdriver to remove these.
Pop off the taillight.
Once you take the taillight housing off, you can see the brake lights.
Turn the dead bulb counterclockwise a quarter of a turn, and pop it straight out.
Pull out the old bulb.
Put in the new one.
Pop the bulb back in the housing, and turn it clockwise to make sure it’s sealed.
Test the brake light by putting a rock on the brake and going behind the vehicle to ensure the brake light is working.
