How do I buy a Ford extended warranty?

After doing some research, I’ve decided that a Ford extended warranty is a great purchase for my needs. I haven’t bought the vehicle yet and I’ve never purchased a new vehicle before. What do I need to do to buy a Ford extended warranty?

All you need to do is purchase the extended warranty at the dealership when you purchase your vehicle. Even if you initially pass on the extended warranty, you can always call or visit the dealer to add one any time before the initial 3-year, 36,000-mile basic new car warranty runs out.
The price of a Ford extended warranty ranges from $1,500 to $4,500, but this depends on your model year, model, warranty length, and warranty type. You can choose from four different extended warranty plans, which have a maximum length of either 10 years and 175,000 miles, or 8 years and 150,000 miles.
