The (somewhat surprising) truth is every car can use synthetic oil. Some manufacturers explicitly recommend it, but even if your car’s manufacturer does not, your vehicle can still benefit from using synthetic oil.
Benefits include:
Better temperature retention: Synthetic oils can withstand extreme temperatures better than conventional oil and will resist thinning out in the heat or thickening in the cold.
Longer lifespan: Synthetic oil resists breaking down better than conventional oil, which results in longer protection for your engine.
Less frequent oil changes: Most manufacturers recommend conventional oil changes every 5,000 miles and most synthetic oils can last up to 10,000 miles before needing to be changed.
