, all you have to do is turn off your engine, walk to the gas tank door, push on the rear edge of the door, and it should pop open. Everything else behind the fuel door will be just as you remember it. When you’re done at the pump, make sure you put the gas cap back on tightly. If the gas cap doesn’t seal, it could cause the
check engine warning light
or fuel cap light
to come on. More often than not, you can solve the problem by adjusting the gas cap as needed.

, it’s a good idea to check your owner’s manual to ensure you select the best fuel grade. While Cadillac states drivers can use gas with an octane rating
