I’m borrowing my friend’s house next month for a vacation, and he’s also letting me use his car. How can I make sure I’m insured to drive any car in case there’s an issue?

What a nice friend you have! You should be covered by your friend’s insurance plan under permissive use, but your friend needs to double check this with his provider before you arrive.
Permissive use covers drivers who aren’t named on a policy as long as they received permission from the named insured to use the vehicle. This would protect you if you got into an accident in your friend’s car.
