How can you fix door dings on a car?

Apparently, I just can’t pick good spots to park because the door dings on my passenger and driver side doors are starting to add up. How can you fix door dings on a car?

Yikes! Sorry to hear that—having one door ding can be frustrating, but having a whole collection of them is something else!
If it’s truly a small ding (about half an inch in diameter or smaller), you might be able to remove it with a dent removal tool from an auto parts store. These tools typically work by placing support stands on either side of the ding and using a suction tool to pull the indentation out.
You can find several other DIY options to repair dents online, but beware! Sometimes (most times), fixing a ding yourself makes the damage worse, so consider that as you plan for what to do with your door ding.
One option is to file a claim under your insurance policy’s
comprehensive coverage
. Dings usually result from shopping cart mishaps and weather damage, both of which are not at fault types of claims. Please take a look at your
car insurance
policy to ensure it’s giving you the protection you need.
