How can I tell where my Tesla was built?

I know Teslas are all made in the U.S., but I want to find out exactly where mine was built. How can I do that?

You can tell where your Tesla was built by looking at your vehicle identification number or VIN.
All Teslas are manufactured at either Tesla’s Fremont,
California
or Austin,
Texas
plant. Your VIN will tell you which.
Specifically, check the eleventh digit of your VIN. If it’s an F, your car was built in Fremont. If it’s an A, your car was built in Austin.
