My sister asked where my BMW was manufactured, and I drew a blank! I know some are made in Germany, but I’m not sure if there are other factories around the world. How do I know where my BMW was made?

You’re right that some BMWs are made in Germany. The surest way to tell where your BMW was made is to check its vehicle identification number (VIN). If the number begins with a W or has a B in the second spot, your BMW was likely made in Germany, while a 5 followed by a U or a Y indicates that it was manufactured in the States.
Also, certain models are generally localized to one country:
The BMW 3 Series Touring, 4 Series Coupe, and M4 Coupe are only manufactured in Munich, Germany
The BMW X3, X3M, X4, X4M, X5, X5M, X6, X6M, and X7 are produced in the United States to keep up with the higher demand for crossover vehicles
Between the VIN and the model type, you should be able to say with confidence where your BMW was made!
